Hazard Valley Films
Hazard Valley Films is an independent filmmaking group composed of creators passionate about photography and cinematography who collaborate to write and produce original short films. Their work emphasizes cinematic storytelling—often within the horror and suspense genres—while focusing on crafting visually engaging, story-driven productions.
My goal was to create a unique logo free from typical horror cliches. The central icon combines a film reel with an eye, symbolizing both filmmaking and the act of watching—while also referencing the eye as a common horror symbol representing core psychological elements within the genre including paranoia, surveillance, and the feeling of being watched. The typography complements this theme with a fractured treatment, giving the lettering a cracked and weathered appearance that evokes tension and unease. Together, the symbol and typography create a bold identity that reflects the cinematic, suspense-driven storytelling at the heart of Hazard Valley Films.
