FirstFruits Farm
I grew up gardening. So, when my husband and I bought our first home, though we only purchased .25 acres, we made the most of it. We put in a huge veggie garden, fruit trees and bushes of all kinds, and, of course, got chickens. And so, our property became known as FirstFruits Farm.
We got the name from Proverbs 3:9, which reads, “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops ...” The next verse continues with this promise: “… then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” We love those verses and have done our best to live by them.
For the design, I blended a classic badge-style layout with warm, organic elements—most notably the subtle leaf detail and rich, earthy color palette—to reflect our farm’s connection to nature. The bold “FirstFruits” lettering set in P22 Mackinac Pro curves gently with the badge and stands out in its vibrant harvest orange. The center circle forms a subtle rising and setting sun, and the secondary text flows around it. As for the badge holding shape, I mimicked the soft diamond shapes of the tittles on the “i’s” in the brand name. I also applied a restrained texture to the logo to further add to its rustic charm.
In addition, I created a “FF” monogram and wordmark for use in different applications and incorporated the leaf imagery.
